Dr. Zachary Hughes was born and raised in Romeo, Michigan. After completing his undergraduate degree in clinical exercise science from Grand Valley State University, he then earned his medical degree from Barry University of Podiatric Medicine down in Miami, Florida. Dr. Hughes completed a comprehensive three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, where he received extensive training on the latest techniques in total ankle joint replacement, arthroscopy, sports medicine, minimally invasive surgery, adult and pediatric reconstruction, lower extremity trauma, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Hughes is board qualified by The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He is committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care centered around evidence based medicine that restores mobility and quality of life. Dr. Hughes focuses on building strong relationships with his patients, listening closely to their concerns, and guiding them through every step of their treatment with clarity and empathy.

In his spare time Dr. Hughes enjoys exercising, golfing, and traveling the world.
