About Dr. St. John

Dedicated podiatrist Jason St. John, DPM, brings his extensive experience to the Michigan communities of Rochester, Clinton Township, and Chesterfield at Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Institute. 

Dr. St. John grew up in Marquette, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University for undergrad, receiving a degree in human biology. Subsequently, Dr. St. John spent time at Wayne State University, where he completed his master’s degree and was involved in prostate cancer research, contributing to publications about prostate cancer metastasis. 

In 2015, Dr. St. John completed his medical school training at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine as valedictorian of his class. He then moved to Pittsburgh and completed a three-year residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he spent time as chief resident. This was followed by a one-year fellowship specializing in lower extremity limb salvage and trauma at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 

Dr. St. John’s fellowship allowed him to develop advanced training and skills. His interests include forefoot surgery, rearfoot reconstruction, arthroscopy, trauma, and treating advanced/limb-threatening deformities such as severe flatfoot, diabetic limb salvage, Charcot deformities, and deformities secondary to neuromuscular disorders, as well as treating arthritis, bunion deformities, and sports injuries. Dr. St. John has lectured nationally at podiatric educational conferences. 

In his spare time Dr. St. John enjoys spending time with his wife, two dogs, and family, as well as attending local sporting events, hiking, biking, and trying new restaurants.
